Under normal use, the NB-IoT smart remote water meter does not require a meter reader to come to the door to read the water. If there are special circumstances such as water meter failure, abnormal water volume, overdue water charges, and user requirements, the meter reader will come to the door to provide service. 
By adding electronic devices to the mechanical water meters, the operating data of the smart water meters can be transmitted to the meter reading platform through the operator's NB-IoT Internet of Things, which can not only monitor water use information, but also read and collect water consumption.
